The first of my hair and makeup posts in an exciting new development for LSS. I will share my beauty tips and looks from my go to pros - Angie from Boda haircutters who I put in charge of everything I do with my hair. She colours, cuts and obvi styles and we have some exciting things planned. Jade Kisnorbo is the makeup genius and gives the best smokey eye I have ever had. More to come on both soon.
So first up is my look from the launch of VAMFF and show 1 with David Jones last night. Jade gave me a red lip using YSL (201) and MAC Ruby Woo is a good one also but just a little more drying than the creamy YSL. I love full coverage in a foundation for evening events so Jade used Makeup forever HD foundation in beige. Lasted all night and as I write this post at midnight after the first (of a few) after parties it is still flawless. Finished off with Nars Laguna.
Next up - Hair essentials from Angie.FYI My hair has not been this healthy for years and I am lightening it (slowly). The girl is a hair goddess.

Still into the hair halo (thanks balenciaga in way of Christine) and found this cute brand at Shopbop called Pluie that might get me to finally purchase. The Proenza and the Chanel boy bag even though everywhere I still want need in the wardrobe. Any one else have a black bag obsession? I seem to buy every bag in black….. to go with my monochrome wardrobe! Then we get to the thigh highs with a peep toe none the less bringing the seasons hottest trend together with my all time fave shoe style - the peep toe bootie. Last I want but why have I not got item - a check knit/top which I just may have ordered. One down!

All about the peep toe bootie for me... still. I love the edge it always brings to an outfit and coming into winter the perfect shoe with denim for nights out. I will take both at that price!

The big item coming into winter and it is a yes from me. Over the Knee boots perfect with pencil skirts or layered with oversized knits and even over the skinniest of jeans. The find - from Witchery in a stretch suede without any zips or laces which suited me but I have seen plenty of styles that do and love also. Balmain set the bar high with a pair just like this but of course sold out everywhere (and an big investment).

Oh how I love a good leather pant. I am a tight slim kinda gal and have fallen hard for Rebecca vallance but there are so many styles and shapes around everyone can own some hot leather legs. I believe in spending money on a pair that have amazing soft, stretch leather that have the detail you want. I love my RV ones as they have zips at the ankles and a bit of length in them so I open them just as CC has above. The big brands have mastered the fit but there are lots of new leather brands hot at their heels. Don't forget ebay too with big brand searches.

You know how much I love my denim and I am really feeling the denim jacket. I do have one but its not in the oversized boyfriend style which I think is perfect for knits layered underneath with scarves and a bit of leather. Onto that Last season I got a pair of the most amazing leather pants by Rebecca Vallance and they were my staple (on sale here from last season) If you can't take the plunge coated denim are perfect too.

Getting into the spirit of all things tennis we headed to the rooftop at Melbourne Central to the Nike tennis club and soaked up the sunshine and beats while we shot. First I shopped Melbourne Centrals best street wear stores and picked the best. I style and shop for everyday and can't go past an off duty look so signature ripped jeans, denim shirts and tee's were in the mix. Add in a sports bra into a look for an easy way to get some sporty vibes and casual feel. A black nike crop with detailing in the straps is a never fail or add in some pop color to pep it up. Leopard heels with a hoody and denim is the perfect contrast in styles and takes a really laid back day look to night.

My uniform for winter. This knit is the ultimate piece to have in your life. Longer length, slit sides, chunky and weighty knit with a roll neck to top it off. I have the black but the grey or cream in on my list. Boot shopping in also happening next and after I suss them all out I will show you what I love most. I love summer and the warm weather makes me happy but as far as fashion goes winter wins hands down. Give me jeans and knits any day.

Firstly I apologise for the wrinkles, rushed today on this one and I know you all were thinking it when you looked at the dress - my bad. Anywho love this t dress a simple and perfect basic for summer and as a layering piece. Denim is always welcome and this time the perfect oversized shirt from Zara but plenty more around and don't forget the mens section for the longer and more oversized look.

All white looks are so chic and have such a classy element. They are also sometimes hard to carry and a little high maintenance with fake tan, bronzer and life. White options in styles you love are also not forgiving with lines and bumps her black sister hides white couldn't care less. These two will bring you to the white side with a little ease if you skipped a few barre classes over xmas and ate too much everything. Loose, soft and long the shirt dress that can be used to layer and tuck in any situation.
Side note - I went shopping today for a party outfit for my besties 30th in the heat wave that hit Melbourne (clever) and didn't get anything…..its tomorrow! This has truly defined that I am an online shopping queen but actually going to the store proves less convenient. One last chance in the morning pre pampering and primping. I think I may have a few things laying around (literally as I am renovating my upstairs area). Time will tell!

I have been waiting to show you all the amazing reflection bustier in the hottest print of the season, the cracked effect. Ever since the cracked paint strutted into our lives with care of Alexander Wang 's debut at Balenciaga in the fall 13 collection I couldn't wait for the high street/boutique take on the trend and here she is. Exclusive to the babes at The Birdcage Boutique so be quick. The leather skirt is one of my best buys of last year (Dec) from the old faithful Zara. Its leather, under $200 and fits like a glove, its love.
I have my best leather skirts up this week (sometime) to shop the look if you can't get to Zara but if you can you need this skirt! I am nearing the end of my holidays and have the Portsea Polo on Saturday to go out with a bang. Working on that outfit with options going home, which doesn't help me much here but i will help you with what to wear with what I am planning for my outfit.

You may remember a few weeks ago I was on the gram whilst at a fab lunch to welcome iconic UK co. Matches the our shores. To celebrate the launch we lunched at the amazing Circa, talked fashion and all things Matches. In the spirit of celebration this lover made its way into my life and I will love her forever. Thanks Matches and the team and Tiffany for getting her here so fast! You will love Matches if you don't already.
I had a debate with myself wether jewellery or shoes are a better buy….. this time gold won but studs on sandals are very enticing.

In the spirit of racing hem lines are lowered and we aim to bring out our inner lady. I have to admit Stakes day was a rushed outfit but I think it had everything I like in my outfits, monochrome, leather (ish/faux/whatever) a bit of mesh and a sneaky bra.When quizzed as to where my amazing leather skirt was from I answer proudly 'from asos and its faux leather'. I love a good find and as you know I love my Asos.
Now onto the races and the last hurrah of the festival - Stakes day. A much more chilled day in all ways as it was freezing and raining. My free umbrella, thanks Vogue (which I left at Emirates) did the job and I was happy with my weighty skirt and minimal head wear in the wind. As we did all carnival we spent our day in the amazing Emirates marquee and with the beautiful people at Myer for a dance and a cocktail , or two. Massive thank you to the team at the VRC, Myer and Emirates for having us all week and every year we are so grateful to a part of the carnival. It really is the best time of year in Melbourne and the PR teams and everyone involved work so hard to pull it all together. Props to you all. Also a big thanks to Lisa for snapping me all week and my girl Jess for sending her my way while shooting all week for WWKD.

Day three of the carnival was ladies day and fittingly I had my bestie as my date to celebrate. Getting as girly as I could and channelling my inner etherial goddess the pastel blue Lo Sordo with a gorgeous open back was perfect. My Asos crown needed a little more spring racing so my mumma sprayed a piece of netting gold (while I was getting ready) and added it to the look. We heading to the amazing Emirates marquee with all of the beautiful people to break my besties Birdcage virginity in style. True to form our inner ghetto superstars were busting to get out so we hit Myer to get our dance on. The awesome Faders killed it on the decks and had the marquee pumping with a massive 'your the voice' finally. So much fun! See you on Saturday.

Melbourne cup done and dusted and such a fun day. We spent the day with the beautiful people in the Myer marquee and its true what you have heard that all of the beautiful people flock to Myer. The best cocktails and tunes to get the party started….. and to finish for more at The Deck at Circa. I didnt have a win unlike a few years ago when I won the Cup trifecta and brought home 9k! Yes amazing and really hard to do, but I picked the first 4 horses and didn't put that bet in correctly and would have turned 9k into 80K! Oh well. Nick says I need to let this go but I don't think I ever will. Anywho , My feet are asking for a down day but I am off to Crown for lunch for the ladies and Oaks day, couldn't miss that!
Outfit - Lana and my favourite Lofft girls had this amazing cobalt A/W Ashkar ready for me and I loved it. The cut out details and the power shoulder added volume and the perfect detailing to the already stunning piece. In the spirit of the Cup I added in my Sophia Webster hologram heels and pink lips and nails to add some more color which is never too much on Cup day. Next up - Ladies day at Oaks with my best friend. Two down, two to go.
